Dr. Paula Holcomb will lead the 40-member student ensemble, which will be joined by SUNY Fredonia trumpet professor Roderick MacDonald as soloist.

As they interact with local and university bands and perform several evening concerts, they will also see China preparing for the world's attention of the upcoming Olympics. It is our intention that this trip to China by the Wind Ensemble is the first of regular international trips by our ensembles that will not only showcase the quality of our school but also give students memories and highlights that will stay with them for their entire lives.
